The team dominated during a major part of the race, starting from pole position. Taniguchi-Yanagida-Hairuma-Stück-Yoshida’s BMW Z4 took second position, just ahead of another Z4, driven by Al Faisal/Hürtgen/Hartung/Al Faisal.
NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip was also in Dubaï, driving a Ferrari F430 AF Corse together with fellow NASCAR driver, Australian Marcos Ambrose. Among the entrants, Gerard Lopez, Genii Capital chairman and Renault F1 co-owner, was driving a Mosler.
Jean-Sébastien Sauriol, from Quebec, took 4th position in SP2 class, driving a Saker Sportscar Tdi with four dutch drivers.
