Toyota is showing attendees of the Chicago Auto Show a refreshed Tundra pickup model set for sale in the 2010 model year. For 2010, the Tundra will feature new standard features, a new V8 engine, and enhanced value across its lineup.
Updates have been made to the grille and lights for a revised exterior look, and the interior will be available with two new audio systems and bluetooth connectivity. Tundra will be available in a high-feature 'Platinum' trim level which includes a sunroof, navigation, wood-trim and ventilated seats-- as well as a no-frills work-truck that comes with 6 or 8 cylinder power.
The all-new 4.6 litre V8 engine is rated preliminarily at 310 horsepower and 327 lb.-ft of torque, and Toyota says it should offer the best combination of power and fuel economy of a standard V8 engine in any full-sized truck. Like the larger 5.7 litre V8 engine, the 4.6 litre unit will come mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for optimized mileage and performance.
Shoppers can expect pricing details closer to the 2010 Tundra's launch in April.
