Auto shows are about new cars and concepts; but truthfully, the bottom line is that it’s all about cars.
Now, if Toyota was hoping to get attention with their Scion “iM looking for love” and gigantor-spindle-in-your-face LF-C2 concepts, the real star out of all things Toyota in L.A. was the desperately gorgeous, 1967 Toyota 2000GT.
This spectacular car is as rare as a good Stallone movie and worth in excess of (pinky at the side of the mouth) $1 million! How rare? Only 351 were produced between 1967 and 1970 (minus this one).
The 2000GT sports a 150-horsepower, DOHC 2.0L inline 6-cylinder engine — and I want one.
