The States of Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas, New York and Michigan are currently considering a bill that would ban high school drop outs from getting their driver’s licence.

To try to stem the rising tide of drop outs, several legislators want to keep minors who haven’t graduated high school from getting their licence until they reach 18.

They think the initiative would be a good way to keep kids in school.

The proposal is obviously the subject of controversy.

Many people are against it, saying that parents, not the State, should be responsible for withdrawing such privileges from their children if they deem it necessary.

So the question is, if your elected officials start banking on a similar measure, would you be for or against it?
