EcoBoost, a Ford technology that combines turbocharging and direct injection
Developed by Ford Motor Company, the new EcoBoost technology will power half a million Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles annually in North America during the next five years. The benefits of EcoBoost include fuel savings of up to 30 percent. These 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines feature turbocharging and direct injection. Much like the hybrid and diesel technologies, EcoBoost is designed to improve fuel economy and reduce GHG emissions without compromising the driving performance or fun behind the wheel.
