At the start of the season Ferrari's nine rival teams insisted that they would remain committed to their agreement, but

Toyota president John Howett does not expect it to last.

"I think the agreement has already (started to break down) because I don't think Ferrari's competitors can just sit there and accept them driving into the distance," Howett commented. "Either Ferrari must join the remaining teams or we need to find some sort of compromise where there is an equivalence. Otherwise people will start to test remorselessly."

Back to Jacques and his Hinwil team, a return to unrestricted testing can only hurt Sauber Petronas, which doesn't test anywhere near as often as the majority of its opponents and will most likely drop farther back in the running if its cost savings measures continue. Yet, if it starts to test more it may benefit JV.

The 1997 championship winning French Canadian has silenced his critics for a season, but his teammate still looks to be quicker, scoring 7th in the first qualifying stint and 8th in the second, with JV only managing 13th

place finishes in each qualifying session.

When teammate Massa was asked about JV's positive turn after Sunday's race, he responded, "He's got some points. We have a very good car. He was in a good position at the start. I was supposed to be in the top seven. For me it was really possible to be in the top four because our pace, and especially my pace, made it really possible to do something really good in this race."

The Brazilian continued, "He has got more confident, he knows the car a bit more and he can do a better job. But if you compare our pace in the race I was able to do a really good result."

As Massa should have, being the number one driver who has set up the car and spent much more time piloting it in tests. With a little more support from his Hinwil team, in the way of time behind the wheel of the C24, Villeneuve should continue adding points to the roster. Only time will tell if he proves faster than his teammate.
