Volkswagen will host the world premiere of an all-new and all-electric car concept at the 2016 Paris Auto Show, which opens at the very end of the month.
There is little information available at this point, although VW insists this one-of-a-kind concept signals the brand's entry into a new era, and will prove as revolutionary as the Beetle was seven decades ago.
It is rumoured to be similar in size to the Golf, but with as much interior room as the Passat.
The production vehicle that will follow, likely to be introduced for the 2020 model year, will be the first Volkswagen to hit the market based on the new modular electrification kit (MEB), previewed by the BUDD-e concept.
Some sources including Auto Express and Argus claim that we can expect a range of about 400 kilometres with the passenger-car variant and up to 600 kilometres with the possible SUV.
