The first provisional entry list for the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on the 5th May has been released with 37 cars entered for the traditional final event before the 24 Heures du Mans in June.
After its brillant 1-2 at Sebring, the opening round of the World Endurance Championship, Audi will be again the favorite for the overall victory. At Spa, the german manufacurer will run for the first time its brand new Audi R18 e-tron quattros hybrid prototypes, alongside two « classical » R18 Ultra diesel ran by teams Joest and Audi Sport North America.
Spa will also be the theater of Toyota’s great come back in endurance, as the japanese constructor will ran for the first time its TS30 prototype with Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima. Alongside it Pescarolo Judd car, team Pescarolo will run for the first time its Dome S102.5 LMP1 prototype.
Winner of the LMP2 category at Sebring with Stéphane Sarrazin and american drivers Ryan Dalziel and Enzo Potolicchio, team Starworks will be back at Spa with its HPD ARX-03b. The american team will face several strong contenders such as teams Signatech Nissan, Oak Racing or team Lotus in Belgium.
Five cars – including three Ferrari F458 -, will run the GTE Pro category, as eight cars will enter the race in GTE Am.
