The classically styled sports hardtop is the result of a boutique German sports car manufacturer, a company that has attempted to capture the sports car golden days of the late 1950s in design, while mixing in today's cutting edge technologies under the skin.

Making its debut at this year's Frankfurt motor show, the GT is the final version of a series of preproduction models and concept. From paper to production, Wiesmann's work is admirable.
The German automaker has been producing sports cars in low volume since the early '90s. Since 1993 the company has used its own techniques to build the frames and shape the bodywork. It all started with the Roadster, which featured hot-dipped galvanized aluminum tube framework. Around the lattice-lace crisscross frame, fiberglass body panels are reinforced with strong yet lightweight composites.
