Sebastien Loeb (Citroen) concluded the first loop in the lead in Rally GB in front of Mikko Hirvonen (Ford), while his team mate Sébastien Ogier crashed out in the opening stage.
After the first three special stages, which were ran on thusday afternoon, the reigning champion took the advantage on his title rival, that he leads for only 0,7 seconds. Jari-Matti Latvala stood in first position in the begining of the rally, but the Finn struggled in the third a last stage of the day, which dropped him down to third behind his team mate Hirvonen, but ahead of Petter Solberg’s private Citroen DS3.
But the main fact of the day was the accident of Sebastien Ogier (Citroen) in the very first stage of the rally. The Frenchman took a wheel off his Citroen DS3, and was forced to retire already. He may be back on Friday with the Super Rally regulation.
That put Sebastien Loeb alone in the Citroen team to fight in front of both Ford cars...
