Russian driver Mikhail Aleshin secured 2010 World Serie Renault 3.5 crown after a thrilling final in Barcelona.
Three drivers were in fight for 2010 championship win : Russian Mikhail Aleshin, championship leader, Australian Daniel Ricciardo and argentinian driver Esteban Guerrieri, a little further behind.
Ricciardo took race 1 win ahead of Aleshin, which put both rivals equals at the championship : 128 points, before the very last race of the season ! Guerrieri took 4th, and was then excluded for championship battle.
But Guerrieri took revenge when he secured race 2 victory in front of Jean-Eric Vergne. Behind, Ricciardo and Aleshin were having a thrilling battle for third position, and championship. Ricciardo was able to defend his position but Aleshin found a way pass, three laps before the end of the race.
