Alain Menu (Chevrolet) took victory in race 2 of the World Touring Car Championship in Valencia to move up to second position in the provisional championship classification behind Yvan Muller.
Menu, who started from second position on the grid, took the lead away from poleman Stefano d’Aste, then pulled away out in front.
Menu managed to stay in the lead despite Tom Coronel’s BMW huge pressure during the last laps of the race.
The others Chevrolet drivers struggled a bit, as Robert Huff was 6th, and Yvan Muller only 8th, but the Frenchman remains on top of the standings.
