A Great Value on the Used Market
I hadn't been too impressed

OK, the styling may not have caused any passersby to swing their heads around in enthusiastic double-takes, but I didn't find it offensive in the slightest. Rather I stated that "Saturn has done a good job" with regards to the car's overall design in a 2003 model year review, adding, "It has a European flare, similar from some angles to a Saab" (see 2003 Saturn L200 Road Test within new vehicle review section archives
In terms of interior quality, the L200 and L300 stood out from the rest of the Saturn crowd. (Photo: General Motors of Canada) |
I was also impressed with its interior quality, an area the General Motors division had failed miserably in during the compact SL period, and not having gained much ground with the current ION or VUE. But the L200 and L300 were different, causing me to say, "The fit, finish and tactile quality of interior bits and pieces initially made a good first impression. Its switchgear clicks with much greater precision than the ION, general interior design is attractive, it's filled with functional features and the seats are comfortable."
