Adding to this ambience, the pseudo wood grain accents are very well done. The imitation wood looks real to the eye - that is until you give it a tap with your fingers. Some would say that the lack of authentic wood detracts from the car. I decided (ever the positive thinker) that Chrysler is taking an "environmentally-friendly" approach, assisting us in saving the endangered Zebrano, Walnut and Maple trees around the planet. We congratulate Chrysler on taking this approach.

As attractive as the dash area is, the plastics used are unfortunately not of the highest grade, which detracts from the otherwise upper-crust interior. That said, the materials used are not terrible, in fact the plastics have a better feel than some prestigious sport sedans that cost half again as much. It would be interesting to see if a few hundred dollars spent in this area would affect the 300M's bottom line significantly enough to detract from sales. Still, it's possible that the contrary would occur and more believers would be swayed from the likes of Saab, Infiniti and Lexus (or maybe even BMW, heaven forbid).

The 300M's Infinity sound system is 'totally awesome', as one of my younger friends remarked. The sound is crystal clear at any volume, with radio stations tuning in well. One of the best stereo features, rare in even the priciest exotics, is Chrysler's in-dash 4-disc CD stacker. Just push the desired number, and the stacker alerts you when it is ready... pop in the CD and it loads within seconds. You can stack up to four CD's at a time, without the added hassle of getting out of the car and replacing CD's in the trunk - the system used by most manufacturers.
