4x4 maker Hummer is carving themselves a tidy little niche out of the pickup truck market this fall. Their new H3T model is built from the same architecture as the H3, but it features a five-passenger crew-cab and five-foot bed. This all adds up to position it neatly between a mid-sized and full-sized pickup.
Of course, being a Hummer means being well-equipped for some serious off-roading. H3T is the only truck in its class to feature full-time four wheel drive, 32 or 33-inch tires, skid plates, and locking front and rear diffs.
Of course, the optional 5.3 litre V8 under the hood will do a decent job of spinning the tire-treads clean when the going gets muddy. A five-cylinder engine is standard, and a list of over 75 accessories will allow owners to completely customize their H3T.
"With its unique size and HUMMER traits, the H3T is ideal for the customer who works hard and plays harder," said Martin Walsh, HUMMER general manager. "It offers the combination of truck versatility and HUMMER off-road prowess that delivers customers to the trail in style."
Production is scheduled to start later this year, with the model going on sale around the end of the summer.
