Some cars put a smile on your face the minute you're handed the keys. They are renowned for guaranteeing driving pleasure, quality, luxury and, especially, performance. Unfortunately, most of these cars are also usually priced beyond the reach of the common mortal. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule, with the new generation of the Infiniti G37 being one of them.
Inspired lines
Largely modelled after the Nissan 350Z, which is an accomplished sport car itself, the G37 includes two rear seats and has a slightly longer base. While it's true that the rear seats are more symbolic than they are practical, there's enough room for two extra passengers on short trips.
This new generation of the G37 still has all of the elements that have ensured the car's success. This time around, though, it's even better--there's more of everything, and then some. The G37's lines have remained virtually the same; this car is so beautiful, changing them would have been sacrilegious. However, when it comes to style, this Infiniti makes an even greater impact. Its look is refined and sporty to perfection.
The new L-shaped headlights play a part in the G37's sophistication and sportiness, following the flowing curves of the hood and front fenders. The taillights are in the same style as those of the previous model.
The overall exterior and interior finish is also impeccable, and the quality of the materials is superb--there's simply no mistaking Infiniti's high-endedness.
Hard pressed to find better!
Life inside the G37 is almost princely. The standard equipment package is comprehensive, with only a few options available. Using the instruments is intuitive, but as for any vehicle of this class, they take some time getting use to. The same can be said of the ergonomics, but once you've figured it out, everything becomes second-nature. Ventilation controls ensure everyone's comfort rather quickly.
