2.0L DOHC VC-Turbo 4-Cyl. (INFINITI QX50)

First presented in January 2018 as part of the launch of the INFINITI QX50, generation one, the VC-Turbo engine from Nissan with a variable compression rate represents a significant innovation within the industry. Other manufacturers had looked at developing a similar engine in the past, Nissan is the first to take it from the drawing board through to production.

This powertrain is able to maximize both power and fuel economy according to need, mainly because of the instant variations in the compression rate between 8:1 and 14:1. This year the new 2019 Maxima is getting it as well.
