For this new generation, Nissan comes up with a much more convincing crossover, despite some irritants

# 9 ProPILOT

The ProPILOT Driver Assistance System is available as an option in the SV trim and is full on board with the Platinum version of the Rogue. The system can assist the driver when the lines of the road are visible; in that context it works very well even when the steering wheel is released for a few seconds. I've also noticed that the road-sign recognition system can also slow the vehicle down when it detects a gear change with the cruise control on, of course.

# 10 A comfortable Rogue

Thanks to those much-acclaimed zero-gravity front seats, front-row passengers get to luxuriate in real comfort. Even soundproofing has been improved with the new Rogue. That’s said, I did note some creaking sounds emanating from the trunk area, but it was occasional and very minor.

I was disappointed in the second row, however, which I attribute to the hardness of the seats. They could have used some of that zero-gravity goodness. Besides that, however, what's surprising about the Rogue is that despite the 19-inch wheels, the ride is smooth.
