that it will carry a smaller sticker and cost you less for gas, but it's probably not going to attract too much business. I mean, would you sign another Gretsky for your hockey team if you could have Wayne for a little more money? With either engine, Toyota has done a reasonably good job with the Tundra's comfort and convenience features -- to a point. That point would be the back of the front seats, where you are confronted by the safety belts. By the way they stick out of the floor and out of the roof it looks like Toyota forget they needed to include belts until the last minute and this was what they came up with. The truck would have benefitted greatly from the seats with belts built into them that grace the GM pickups, but Toyota didn't consider them. These belts are somewhat hidden in the regular cab, but when you open the two small rear doors of the Access cab they're like some police tape across the door of a crime scene, and in a way they are -- making people sit back there for more than a few minutes should be at least a misdemeanor.
Not only is it hard to get into the back seat (thanks at least in part to a higher step-up height than other full-size pickups), it's unlikely you could get comfortable there because of a seat back that's almost vertical. But eschew the use of the back seat for people and the Tundra is fairly ergonomic, particularly in the Access cab. This configuration has those little rear portals that open the opposite way to the front doors and they have handles inside and out, though they, like all the others, can't be opened until the main door is.
