If you are a Jacques Villeneuve fan, I suggest the semi-automatic mode that provides gear changes at the rev limits.

That semi-automatic, called "manumatic" by several automobile journalists, can replace a manual transmission since you have the control. Besides, it features well staged changes, allowing a better exploitation of the engine. While both up shifting or downshifting, you will appreciate the 3.2 CL a lot more.

In order to harness the Type S 260 horse cavalry, mostly on wet surfaces, Acura uses a traction control associated to a stability control system.

That VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) analyses the movements of the vehicle thanks to a group of sensors that detect any vehicle unbalance.

When the rear axle oversteers, the VSC only available in the Type S version, straightens out the vehicle by braking of the front wheels and reducing the engine output. The system can also correct any understeer.

Four enlarged discs including vented discs at the front and solid at the rear provide the stopping power with ease and endurance. The pedal feel of that power brake system beefed up by a late generation ABS system is a lot more progressive than other Honda or Acura products.

The rack and pinion steering, nicely weighted, supplies more assist at low speeds, especially for parking maneuvers. As speed increases, the assist level reduces and the system works with more firmness delivering the crisp reactions of a true sport car.
