While I could probably live without alloy wheels and rear disc brakes there are a few features I personally would not want to spare. The first is remote access. Maybe I'm spoiled or possibly uncoordinated but I hate fumbling with keys. The second is power windows. With bench seats it wasn't as difficult to stretch across the car's width to roll down the passenger side window when needing to talk with someone on the sidewalk, but the center console causes pain if attempted - or maybe I was more nimble in my youth. Either way I can't go back.

The last item that can't be nixed is power remote mirrors. The Sunfire Coupe SL offers a manual remote on the driver's side, but the only effective way to get the optimal right side mirror position is to have a passenger assist in the process. Now that I think about it I don't believe I'd want to live without air-conditioning in the summer either. And a multi-disc CD player, impossible despite the fact that the AM/FM radio's sound quality is quite good. But to be fair I'm no where near the demographic Pontiac is targeting. The Sunfire's youth-oriented buyer, at about half my age, is obviously willing to put up with fewer creature comforts to appease the pocketbook.
