Other options include cruise control with a cargo net - an obvious match or am I missing the connection - for $425. A 4-speed automatic transmission will cost an additional $1,180 while anti-lock brakes are a good investment at $565. Fifteen inch steel wheels with full wheel covers will add another $190 to the total price, and if you want the wheel covers chrome finished tack on an additional $80. Altogether a fully loaded Sunfire Coupe SL is priced at $20,560, but if you want power windows, mirrors and remote access it's necessary to step up to the slightly pricier GT model.

In summary, when dollars matter most there are few cars that offer as much style for the money as the Sunfire Coupe SL. I for one find its rear view fairly attractive but front end a little overdone, yet remember I'm a European car snob so my opinion hardly counts. With that last confession in mind, as much as I hate to admit, I like the little Pontiac. It's just good clean fun in an affordable package. No wonder it's so popular.
