But other than the center gauge package and unattractive upholstered seats I like the interior overall. The dual rear door access is my favorite feature. They're just plain practical and they look great too. I hate fussing with folding the seat back and forth when putting groceries, my backpack, or another human into the back seat of a regular 2-door, which made living with the Saturn's solution particularly satisfying. The back seats are pretty comfortable too, and have their own cupholders and console. How neat is that?

But the ION.3, the top dog in the model's hierarchy, includes more than just cupholders and a cool console. Its AM/FM audio system with CD and cassette player plus four coaxial speakers was pretty good, while the fold flat passenger seats were ultra practical.

Other features include its Saturn requisite polymer panels, fog lamps, a rear deck lid spoiler, anti-lock brakes, power door locks with anti-lockout, delayed locking and programmable auto lock/unlock, remote hood and trunk release, and the center console with open storage bin and dual cupholders. Over and above these were air conditioning with dust and pollen filter, dual visor vanity mirrors, three-point safety belts for all seating positions, and power windows with driver express-down and rear seat lockout features.
There were a few things in the Quad that I did not find exceptionally favorable, starting with the steering wheel - it is so small. I've never seen a steering wheel as small in any other vehicle. In addition, the turn signal stalk was also on the tiny side, making it a reach for my fingers. Also, the center console is positioned further back in the ION than any other car I've tested, making it a stretch for my elbow.
