In terms of cockpit size the new TL is on par with its competitors, offering plenty of room front and rear thanks to its Accord roots. Much like the exterior, Acura have fully disguised the car's less prestigious beginnings. A restyled dashboard and center console are thoroughly new, differentiating it from the Accord while tactile plastics, faux aluminum, perforated leather sports seats and red, white and blue LED instrumentation display the car's unique combinations of sport and luxury.

Yet aside from being a comfortable sedan, the TL could very well double as a home entertainment system on wheels. All cars feature a Panasonic premium audio system tuned by recording engineer Elliot Shiner. With eight carefully placed speakers and the ability to play DVD-A compact discs, any tune can reportedly be transformed into a phenomenal surround-sound experience.

Technologically speaking, the TL is sound with Acura's navigation system and Bluetooth capabilities as major options. There is no word, however, whether the nav system will be available in Canada. As of the recent launch of the 2004 TSX sedan, Honda Canada still hadn't developed a Canadian mapping system for Acura, a serious underachievement for a premium brand considering every competitor offers this convenience.
From a practicality perspective the 2004 TL offers a fairly small trunk compared to its competitors at 254 L (12.5 cu ft), a volume that is also 51 L (1.8 cu ft) smaller than the 405 L (14.3 cu ft) trunk in its predecessor.
