While 4x4 adventurers can rest assured the Titan's stiff all-steel, closed-section ladder frame is up to grueling conditions, those hauling heavy payloads in 2WD versions will benefit too. Handling, with or without loads, should be especially good due to standard power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and an all-steel double wishbone front suspension setup balancing a beefy dual rate, leaf spring rear suspension system, incorporating frame side mounted shackles to improve ground clearance - said to be nearly a foot high (305 mm). Additionally, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS) will be available.

Short stopping distances should be the result of the Titan's 4-wheel disc brakes equipped with a Bosch 4-channel anti-lock system (ABS). Other safety features include Nissan's Advanced Air Bag System that features dual-stage front airbags with seatbelt sensors and a front occupant classification sensor. Also, 3-point front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters are standard. Also standard are front side-impact airbags, while side-impact curtain airbags will be optional - a full-size extended cab pickup category industry-first. As well, all three rear passengers will enjoy 3-point seatbelts while a center position LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tether for Children) child seat safety system protects the little ones.

Overall Nissan is set to deliver a full-size pickup truck that literally delivers all the goods and more. With best-in-class interior quality, over-the-top functionality, top-tier features, superb performance and contemporary design, the Titan is a sure winner.
