While the Graphyte dazzled at its Detroit Motor Show introduction, chances are it will never make it past the concept stage. Instead, look for the Two-Mode hybrid technology featured here to make an appearance in the Yukon and Yukon XL large sport utilities sometime in 2007.
In the meantime, with production of the long-running Jimmy coming to an end this year, a gap in GMC's SUV lineup will appear. Who knows, with luck, something similar in size and appearance to the Graphyte may take its place.
