It doesn't quite seem as painful when moving up to a fully loaded roadster, which tops out at $41,980 in the U.S., although it manages to reach a frightening $59,233 if fully loaded in Canada. Factor in the exchange rate and the Canadian car should cost about $49,520, so once again we're paying about $10,000 too much. Is Nissan Canada doing so well that it can afford to lose sales by optimizing profits? Maybe so. And of course, if its dealers are selling every example they get in stock then why not make a little money in the process. Maybe it would have been better if you'd never have known what the U.S. versions cost.
Either way, the 350Z in coupe or convertible form is a superb car that should bring years of reliable service. Just too bad it's priced so high.
