2007 Acura MDX Elite Road Test

Safe, secure traction in any sort of weather scenario is the true value of SUV ownership. The 2007 MDX is a wonderful example of how traction, safety and luxury can be distilled into a single vehicle capable of carrying large families and loads of gear in comfort and style.

Starting at $52,300CA and climbing beyond $60K, this is not an inexpensive SUV but neither is it outrageous once its sophisticated drivetrain and many features are taken into consideration. As it did in 2001, the MDX has raised the bar in the mid-size, luxury SUV segment. I guess history does repeat itself- sometimes in good ways.


Impressive:
Outstanding blend of ride and handling characteristics
300 horsepower V6
Excellent build quality
Tenacious traction

Less impressive:
Rear visibility restricted due to window contour
Price can exceed $60K with Elite package
Premium fuel required
