Altima-tum

Overall, Nissan did a great job on the 2007 Altima 3.5SE. It's got the right look, a cushy interior and a great driving experience. They even stepped it up a notch by adding in nifty little gadgets to ooh and aah over. But, in the cut-throat mid-class sedan category, the Altima has some serious competition. Mazda has taken the market by storm this year with the 6 and Honda is sure to pick up the pace soon (and once their back in the race, everyone had better watch out) so Nissan better stay on its toes. With a price tag of just over $31,000 the Altima seems to be a bit on the pricey side. And while I may not have even looked in the Altima's direction, at that price, last year - this year the Altima would at least get a second glance.

Flawless and power-happy sport shift
Responsive handling
Impressive forward-thinking exterior design

Reverse camera no good in the rain
Stereo with a good name and a bad sound

Torque steer
