The new Versa is Nissan's entry-level car. This is basically the car that replaces the Micra from way back when. Starting in the summer of 2006, the car will arrive in dealerships as a 5-door hatchback. The 4-door will be launched sometime later in 2006.
Under the hood of the very outwardly compact Versa will be a 1.8L 4 cylinder producing 120 hp and 125 lb/ft of torque. Transmission choices are very interesting. They include a standard 6-speed manual, an optional 4-speed automatic and CVT called Xtronic.
Interior volume is impressive as Nissan claims that it is best in its class. Amongst the interesting options are: Intelligent Key, Bluetooth communication and a Rockford Fosgate sound system.
