Sitting in the vehicle, one is immediately impressed with the luxury feel of the vehicle. From the full leather seating, to the wood trim on the doors, it has the look of a well thought out luxury vehicle.
The Flex is obviously aimed at the family market and as such, is loaded with features to suit, like the glass roof in the rear which allows for extra light and adds to the roomy feel of the vehicle. It even has a mini-refrigerator built in, now is that cool or what!
It also boasts of voice activated command system for navigation, and a 10 gigabyte hard drive for its juke box which is capable of storing 23,000 songs. That's enough room for the entire works of Sesame Street, Barney, and every other children's favorite that you'd care to mention. Are you happy now???
The rear seating arrangement is also family friendly with the access to the third row seating being extremely good. There is even a clever electronic push-button which folds and tilts the second row seat for you.
Yes, all in all, I was suitably impressed by Ford's new offering.
Obviously, we shall hear a lot more about this vehicle prior to its upcoming launch, and so what I have given you here is perhaps merely a glimpse.
However, if I'm right and this turns out to be the new people-carrier of the future, then I can foresee the whole Minivan craze starting all over again!
