Expedition is Ford's largest SUV, and twin to the Lincoln Navigator. Based on the previous-generation full size-pickup frame, Expedition provides a lot of everything (with the possible exception of fuel efficiency).

The model line-up mirrors other Ford SUVS, so we have XLT ($45,999 and up), Eddie Bauer ($54,299 and up), and Limited ($58,349 and up).

For 2010, Expedition's King Ranch model returns to the fold ($61,899 and up). "Rugged Sophistication" is its theme. King Ranch is an actual ranch in Texas famed for its leather work. As such, the King Ranch Expedition features an interior full of Texas-inspired leather.

Expedition Max is the extended version, and is available in all trim series.
All models are powered by the 5.4-litre V8 (310 hp, 365 lb-ft of torque), mated exclusively to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Four-by-four is standard. (A rear-drive only "fleet" model is available to the limo industry).

As befitting its price class, Expedition has a long list of standard and optional comfort and convenience features, such as auto-leveling suspension, power-fold third-row seats, 14-speaker 600-watt stereo, rear entertainment system, power moonroof, and rear bucket seats.

Expedition also benefits from several across-the-Ford line upgrades, like standard MyKey and the availability of the next generation of SYNC, which features voice-activated navigation.

New colours for 2010 are Tuxedo Black, Ignot Silver, and True Blue.
Twenty-inch aluminum wheels are now standard on Limited models, and new18-inch aluminum wheels are now optional on XLT.

Trailer sway control is now part of the optional towing package. Expedition can be outfitted to tow almost 9,000 lbs.
