Just one more major expo in North America and the auto show season will officially come to a close. The action’s happening in New York this time around: from March 31 to April 11, 2010, the Big Apple is putting on a show with the promise of multiple world premieres. Naturally, the entire Auto123.com team will be working around the clock to bring you journalistic, photographic and even video coverage of the highlights of the show.

And while it’s already the public’s preferred show, welcoming some 1.2 million visitors per year, the New York Auto Show is also becoming increasingly popular with manufacturers. In fact, it’s this popularity as well as the event’s fortuitous position on the calendar that have earned it the title of International Auto Show and that have encouraged automakers to present over twenty vehicle premieres.

A few vehicles that made their public debut at the recent Geneva show will be on American soil for the very first time. This is namely the case of the Volvo S60, the remodelled Porsche Cayenne and the Nissan Juke, a crossover that has already been unveiled but has yet to make an appearance on our shores.

However, these North American debuts are but a prelude to the world premieres that New York has in store for us. The Scion tC, for instance, and the Acura TSX Wagon, a highly anticipated car in a segment that has been shunned by automakers, will both be presented for the very first time in the Big Apple.

The New York show has also made a name for itself on the international circuit as the venue for the Car of the Year awards presentation. The finalists were announced in Geneva, and New York will crown the winner of a competition in which a handful of American and Canadian journalists take part each year.

Not only will the Auto123.com team naturally be on site during the press days preceding the event, but we will also bring you the full coverage of every debut product as well as exclusive images and interviews throughout the show.

So join us for a virtual tour of the last international auto show of the season on Auto123.com!
