Audi R8 Spyder

Speaking of topless, a roof-optional version of Audi's celebrated R8 hits the road in the near future. The side-blades and clear engine cover are gone-- thanks in part to the extra hardware and body changes required to fit the convertible lid.

Though some will miss these visual cues, the added enjoyment of the engine’s sound effects with the roof down should more than compensate.

Lightweight body. All Wheel Drive. 552 Italian horsepower. 8,000 RPM. ‘Nuff said.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Alright-- so this entry is pretty large, doesn’t have a tremendous power to weight ratio, and isn’t even a car. However, if supercars earn points for badass factor, the Raptor has mojo to spare.

It's a wider, higher and more ticked-off version of the Ford F-150 that's built to go fast in the dirt. It looks like it was imported from hell, and has a suspension that's built for taking jumps. That's all sorts of cool. Think of it as a supercar for sand dunes.
