Porsche
"Honestly now, did you spend your youth dreaming about someday owning a Nissan or a Mitsubishi?" As the famous ad reminds us, Porsche cars are unique in many ways. Ask anyone what they think of the brand, and every single response will be positive. Seriously, who wouldn't want to own a Porsche?

The 911 needs no explanation. The Cayenne has never been more attractive and coveted. The Panamera is a huge hit. The Boxster and Cayman are like perfect toys for grown-ups. Wait, there's more: Porsche is set to launch a new compact crossover (Pajun) within a few months, and the competition is already bracing itself. Now that's a car company that understands the wants and needs of its growing customer base. Looks, quality, and extreme attention to detail make owners feel special.

From motor sports to the most exclusive road cars, Porsche has earned a tremendous reputation. Actually, no other manufacturer boasts more trophies and victories in auto racing. We love Porsche because it never rests on its laurels. Once again, who wouldn't want to own a Porsche?

Volkswagen
Volkswagen AG makes it awfully clear that it plans to become the best-selling automaker in the world – damn the cost. VW fans should worry because what they'll get from here on out boils down to German-flavoured American cars.

The Jetta and Passat lost their edge and softened up, although the former is enjoying record sales. Volkswagen knows exactly what it's getting into: compromises. These two models are now cheaper and more generic in order to appeal to the masses, leaving the Golf and Beetle as genuine VWs.

Hopefully, we'll see the Scirocco and Polo on the roads of North America in the near future. The automaker also plans to open many new dealerships across the continent, backed by a strong performance by the Jetta and Passat in the US.
