Anyone who has read about the Honda CR-Z and that lived the good old days for the Honda CRX can only be excited when seing the CR-Z Hybrid R concept unveiled by Honda at the 2010 SEMA.

The CR-Z's small body was modified to give it a more aggressive look with a body kit, rear spoiler and wheels, courtesy of Honda Performance Development (HPD). The idea behind the car being to design the car for street and racing use, the engine was also worked on, Honda claiming the CR-Z can develop 200 horsepower with 165 lb-ft of torque. Impressing, considering that the stock CR-Z allows 122 horsepower with 123 lb-ft of torque. Improvements made to the motorization include a performance clutch, limited-slip differential; ''circuit-tuned'' suspension and upgraded brakes.

The car is not for sale at the moment and will participate at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race in December. In the mean time Auto123 tells and shows you everything about this, enjoy the CR-Z Hybrid R on this video!
