2011 New York Auto Show: LeMay Museum's vintage micro cars

Construction of the museum, in a town located about 50 km outside of Seattle, is progressing well and should be completed on time, according to the museum’s CEO, David Madeira. “Big or small, fast or slow, every car has a story, and all of us at America’s Car Museum are looking forward to sharing America’s car stories with our guests beginning next year”, said Madeira in a press release.

The first car manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries, maker of Subaru products, this sedan featured suicide doors and could accommodate four people. The two-stroke, twin-cylinder rear engine powered the rear wheels. The air-cooled mill displaced 356 cc and produced 25 hp. (Photo: Luc Gagné/
