3- 2013 Subaru BRZ
It's easy to fall for the BRZ, especially when it's draped in World Rally Blue with a rear spoiler and fog lights (included in the Sport-tech package). Yes, we did manage to separate the Subaru from the Scion in this portion of the test. How could this be? Read on.
The 2013 Subaru BRZ is peppier than the FR-S and provides more trunk and interior room than the MX-5 not to mention that it consumed less fuel.
The BRZ's suspension tuning again comes into play. It strikes a brilliant balance between the FR-S' sometimes harsh ride and the MX-5's often-times too supple strut cushioning. Mixed with well judged steering assistance and great braking performance, the BRZ strokes all the right keys when spirited driving is the order of the day.
Like the FR-S, the cabin is well laid out and will, should there be no pony or rickshaw available, carry up to four people in the worst of pinches.
Its fuel consumption was below average, but was higher than that of the FR-S. We suspect that this is a direct result of this car's fantastic overall drive that begged us to push a little harder at every opportunity.
