A total of 10,965 Nissan Rogue crossovers from the 2015 model year in Canada are being recalled after it was discovered that a defect in the transmission shift selector assembly could allow the driver to shift the transmission out of the PARK position without depressing the brake pedal, change gear positions without depressing the gear shift lever detent button, and/or remove the ignition key without the transmission being in PARK.

These issues could cause unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of injury and/or property damage. Nissan dealers will therefore repair all affected units at no cost to owners.
