Honda’s luxury-car division is intent on boosting its sales with the launch of the 2018 Acura TLX sedan, set to make its world debut on April 11 during the 2017 New York International Auto Show.
The automaker is promising a more aggressive, sportier and more attractive look, inspired by the Acura Precision concept that was first unveiled in Detroit in 2016, and which also served as design muse for the 2017 Acura MDX. Also on the menu are new luxury features and technological improvements, which according to Acura will make the TLX one of the best-equipped and most state-of-the-art contenders in its category.
"The 2018 TLX will receive new styling elements that ratchet up its emotion and reflect Acura's focus on Precision Crafted Performance," said Jon Ikeda, Vice-President and General Manager at Acura. "Acura customers embraced the MDX when we raised its game with bold, new styling, and we're pumped to show how we're elevating the TLX experience."
The 2018 Acura TLX sedan was conceived at Acura’s design studio in Torrance, California, and will continue to be built at the automaker’s assembly plant in Marysville, Ohio.
