With the advent of adaptive suspensions, manufacturers producing big sedans like the 7 Series no longer feel the need to aim for an acceptable compromise between comfort and sportiness. Instead they can allow for adjusting settings that make the ride uber-comfortable or stiff as a board in order to attack even the tightest corners with aggression.
In many vehicles, switching from one drive mode to another doesn’t always bring satisfaction, to the extent that you’d rather there be a clearer differentiation between them. The 7 Series makes it quite clear when you do it, sending a definite message that it’s time to change your driving style.
