An exhaust note that screams extreme performance

In January, FCA promised to unveil a new ultimate performance halo car, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, during the New York Auto Show week in April.

We’ve already shown you the first nine teasers, titled Cage, Reduction, Body, Crate, Forced Induction, Multiplication, Third Law, Race-Hardened Parts, and Performance Pages. Now, here’s the tenth, No Pills, which focuses on the car’s distinctive “staged” exhaust note.

This sound is the result of an advanced torque reserve launch system—the first ever designed for a drag race application on a production car—that lets more air flow through the engine before launch, allowing for increased supercharger rpm without torque overwhelming the brakes and spinning the rear tires.

We remind you that you can visit www.ifyouknowyouknow.com for weekly updates, to download sharable content, and for a countdown to the New York reveal.
