For an all-inclusive, guaranteed price of $62,000 (freight and delivery fees, Genesis at Home valet service, complimentary scheduled maintenance, map updates, and more for 5 years/100,000 km), the G80 Sport offers a striking exterior with distinctive copper styling elements to visually differentiate it from the rest of the G80 lineup. Unique 19” wheels, genuine carbon fibre interior trim, Nappa leather sport seats, and a smaller-diameter steering wheel are part of the package, as well.
Under the hood is a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 engine with direct injection that cranks out 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque via an 8-speed automatic transmission and HTRAC all-wheel drive (standard in Canada). Supported by an upgraded adaptive suspension system, this model is said to deliver excellent driving dynamics with improved body motion control, plus larger front and rear brakes.
As for technology, the 2018 Genesis G80 Sport offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED headlights, and a multi-view camera system, while adding Pedestrian Detection to the Autonomous Emergency Braking system.
