The hybrid model also updated

Already available at Lexus dealers in Canada, the 2018 Lexus NX range of compact crossovers has benefited from a series of design and equipment updates and upgrades.

Immediately noticeable are the new LED headlights, air intakes flanking the spindle grille that improve engine and brake cooling and redesigned rear lights. The door handles light up on entering and exiting the vehicle, while the power sunroof now provides a larger opening and allows for increased head room.

Inside, in addition to new paddle shifters on the steering wheel and larger dials now easier to read, all trims of the 2018 Lexus NX get the Lexus Enform infotainment system, along with several popular applications  as well as the Enform Safety Connect system, which includes collision notification, stolen vehicle locator, emergency assistance button and enhanced roadside assistance.

More safety, control on the road
Standard equipment now also includes the Lexus+ suite of safety systems; these include pre-collision warning, automatic high beams, dynamic cruise control and lane departure alert with lane keep assist.

The NX’s suspension system has been revised to improve road handling. One area that is remaining relatively unchanged is under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo engine still produces 235 hp via a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the hybrid system with CVT transmission delivers 194 hp of net power.

“The Lexus NX blends dynamic style, intuitive technology and exquisite craftsmanship – plus more advanced features than ever as standard. Offered in a choice of turbo-charged gasoline and advanced hybrid powertrains, the NX series offers plenty to reward Canadians looking for something new and exciting in the luxury compact SUV segment.”

- Jennifer Barron, Director of Lexus in Canada

And how much does it cost?
The price of the 2018 NX 300 with turbo engine starts at $44,050, and several options packages are available (Premium, Luxury and Executive, as well as F SPORT 1, 2 and 3). As for the 2018 Lexus NX 300h with hybrid powertrain, it starts at $55,300 and includes, with the opening trim, the Premium package. The only available option is the Executive package, and this model is not available in F SPORT version.
