11 – Jaguar I-Pace
The undisputed star attraction for British marque Jaguar was of course the all-electric I-Pace SUV. In fact there exists a racing series devoted exclusively to the model, and prior to the Formula E race we got to check out a race in that series on the same track. We can expect to see more of those kinds of races and series in the future, because Formula E assuredly needs support races to present as undercards in order to give fans who turn out their money’s worth. One thing that struck us during our weekend watching all-electric racing in New York, is the sheer amount of time spent waiting for the next batch of cars to hit the track. Patience, patience…
12 – Simulators
As is now par for the course in all automotive events, there are simulators on site that give visitors and fans a better sense of what drivers experience in their cars out on the track.
