Canadian edition should follow closely

Nissan has announced details and pricing for the U.S. for the 2019 Nissan Rogue. The crossover is the brand’s top seller in both the U.S. and Canada.

The changes announced apply to the U.S. edition of the Rogue, and there could be minor differences with the version presented in Canada. We’ll be keeping you posted, as usual.

The trims
The 2019 Nissan Rogue will be available in three trims – S, SV and SL. Each version can be had with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Certain regions of the U.S. will also get the chance to acquire a Rogue Hybrid version.

What’s new
Buyers will get a wider range of technologies offered as standard equipment for the 2019 model-year.

The 2019 Rogue is the first Nissan model to offer the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced active safety and driver-assist technologies, incorporating six systems in all. It is offered as standard equipment on SV and SL grades of the 2019 Rogue.

A new Special Edition package (available on the S trim) features 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, heated exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, heated driver and front passenger seat, chrome exterior and interior door handles and roof rails.

A Premium package, also new, brings with it 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, ProPILOT Assist2 and electronic parking brake.

Newly standard across all trims are Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and High Beam Assist, as well as Rear Door Alert. The SV and SL versions get Rear Automatic Braking and Rear Sonar System. ProPILOT Assist and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels now standard on SL grade (previously available as part of the SL Premium Package).

The powertrain
All 2019 Rogue models are equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with an output of 170 hp and 175 lb-ft or torque; this is the same as in the 2018 edition. The engine is matched with an advanced Xtronic transmission with standard Sport Mode and Eco switches. Rogue is available with an intuitive All-Wheel Drive system or front-wheel drive.
