The pricing
How much does the Genesis GV80 cost? The starting price for the Advanced version is $71,615 including shipping and handling. With this, you get all the essential comfort and safety options and only access to the 4-cylinder engine, which we think is just fine for most drivers. If you want more power, and access to the 375 hp, then you'll have to fork over $6,500 more than the base version. At $78,115, you get a GV80 in Advanced trim with a V6 engine, and for an extra $2,000, you can add a third bench seat.
If you're looking for absolute luxury, at $86,615, you'll get a GV80 equipped to whick you to an haute couture fashion show. It all depends on your needs, but just know that no matter which version you choose, you’ll get your money's worth.
The last word
In just a few years (since 2015 to be exact), the Genesis brand has managed to carve out a niche for itself with quality products and aggressive pricing. All the Genesis vehicles we've had occasion to test drive feature the same quality of finish, and the care taken by the Korean retailer indicates a dedicated desire to succeed over the long haul.
The GV80 is no exception, and inside, you can immediately feel the quality of the vehicle's construction and assembly. The only thing missing is any hint of hybrid or electric versions to come. They’re showing up elsewhere in the Genesis lineup and elsewhere, but in the case of this SUV, however, there's nothing on the near horizon as far as electrification is concerned.
