Kia Canada has announced Canadian pricing for its highly anticipated 2027 EV3 subcompact crossover. Starting at a base MSRP of $36,995 for the entry-level Light FWD trim, the EV3 takes position in as the lowest-priced new battery-electric vehicle in Canada, excluding incentives.
The aggressive pricing strategy rounds out a trio of value-focused electric vehicles introduced by Kia this year, alongside the EV4 sedan and the EV5 SUV.
Factoring in freight, delivery, and mandatory fees ($2,749 total), the base EV3 carries an all-in starting price of $39,744 before taxes. Note that every variant in the Canadian lineup falls below the threshold to qualify for the full federal rebate ($5,000 for deliveries completed before the program drops to $4,000 in 2027).

Powertrain of the 2027 Kia EV3
Built on Kia’s dedicated 400-volt E-GMP platform, the 2027 EV3 offers two distinct battery sizes across front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations:
Standard Range (58.3 kWh) - Exclusive to the base Light FWD trim ($36,995 MSRP), this pack delivers a Kia-estimated range of up to 356 km. Buyers should note that the Light trim omits a standard heat pump, which may reduce cold-weather range during Canadian winters.
Long Range (81.4 kWh) - Available on higher trims, the larger battery extends driving range up to an estimated 517 km in FWD models and up to 451 km when paired with AWD.
Sitting atop the range, the performance-minded EV3 GT pairs the 81.4 kWh battery with a dual-motor setup generating 288 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque.
Replenishing the battery from 10 to 80 per cent takes around 31 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger. The EV3 features a built-in, native NACS charge port.
