Muniz, Wilmer Valderrama and Rachel Hunter were guests of honour.

Why on Rodeo Drive? Where else would you have a "Chrome Couture" event? Cadillac has been associated with Hollywood for over a 100 years whether through music, film or television. Since the days of Elvis, Cadillacs have been featured in more than 154 television shows, over 90 feature films and more than 25,000 songs.

Everything about the new Escalade has been redesigned. Based on GM's all-new platform, shared with the Yukon and Tahoe, the full-size luxury SUV also receives a new powertrain, safety and interior systems.

Now the most powerful SUV in the segment, the Escalade counts on an all-aluminum 6.2L V8 engine equipped with variable valve timing. Output

numbers are impressive: 403 hp and 417 lb/ft of torque. Mated to the motor will be a 6-speed automatic transmission. Other features will include standard side curtain air bags, Stabilitrac stability control system, a remote starter, power articulating running boards, a high-end audio system with optional navigation and best of all, factory installed 22" chrome wheels.

The new Cadillac Escalade will be in showrooms by early spring 2006. The ESV (extended wheelbase) and EXT models will be available later in the year.
