recently come to Canada and Kia, some years prior, entered the North American market, it's a rare occasion when an entirely new automaker opens for business, and even rarer when headed by one of the world's most respected designers.

The Southern California premium carmaker will take Henrik Fisker's name too, dubbed Fisker Coachbuild, despite being co-owned by one Bernhard Koehler, made the Director of Business and Operations within Ford's Global Advanced Design Studio (CAPC) in Irvine, California in January of 2004.

of Ford's Global Advanced Design Studio (CAPC) in Irvine, California, a position he held since August of 2003, will attempt to succeed as an independent producer, something many others have failed at over the preceding century.

Yet, Fisker is endowed with a rare talent few others possess, the ability to turn sheetmetal, plastic and composite materials into rolling works of art. His most notable achievement is the recently introduced Aston Martin DB-9, one of the most beautiful sports cars currently available, a design that pays homage to the revered marque's illustrious past, without being retro. The DB-9 was preceded by the AM-V8 Vantage concept, introduced in Detroit in 2003.
