of Ford's Global Advanced Design Studio (CAPC) in Irvine, California, a position he held since August of 2003, will attempt to succeed as an independent producer, something many others have failed at over the preceding century.

Yet, Fisker is endowed with a rare talent few others possess, the ability to turn sheetmetal, plastic and composite materials into rolling works of art. His most notable achievement is the recently introduced Aston Martin DB-9, one of the most beautiful sports cars currently available, a design that pays homage to the revered marque's illustrious past, without being retro. The DB-9 was preceded by the AM-V8 Vantage concept, introduced in Detroit in 2003.
